Several years ago I saw the SegaSonic Arcade PCB for sale on ebay but I was outbid. I recently purchased a MAS Supernova and I'm interested in picking up this game. I'm unfamiliar with System 32 hardware, so I'm looking to buy a complete SegaSonic Arcade PCB set - including both the System 32 motherboard and rom board.

As I understand it, another person on this forum bought one "for a pretty penny" and I'm well aware that such a board isn't cheap, but it's pretty much the biggest sonic game I don't currently have.

Anyone willing to part with theirs?

Well, it's been emulated in mame for a while. A quick youtube search yields the following:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HVBukuyrik

The main problem with using mame is that the game used trackball controls, and mapping trackball controls to anything but a trackball is a bit like trying to piss out of your ass - convoluted and backwards.

I'm interested in picking this up mainly for collecting purposes - I have, for all intent and purposes, every other Sonic main game released (save for stuff like Waku Waku Sonic Patrol), but seeing as this never got a port anywhere else, I'm dying to get my hands on one.

i have the pcb but its not for sale (you will find that everyone will say that) i have been down that road and i can say that yahoo auctions japan is your best bet ..

as for the game it plays like a dream with the trackball panel it takes a bit of getting used to but when you do its a fun and easy game to complete i have done so many times and i never get board with it...i was lucky enough to play this game in the arcades near where i live i remember i found it tuff but i guess they had it on level 4 ..man that will bust your hand up good. :( i say that the default setting level 2 is best for this title.

segasonic arcade is a great game to play on a cab with a trackball panel.

I've never dealt with Yahoo Japan before. Can you describe the experience for me so I know what I'm getting into? How difficult is the language barrier? I actually speak quite a bit of japanese, but I'm still weary of doing actual business in another language.
