I am looking for a 2 SNES controllers. They may be the official ones or a suitable replacement. I am also trying to keep this cheap.

Best bet - try eBay or Play-Asia.

Official pads are getting a bit more scarce and will cost more. There are still some decent third party pads. The SN pads spring to mind.

AVOID the ones that are made to look like SNES pads in a similar box but are clearly pirate. They are HORRIBLE.

Honey Bee/Competition Pro pads can be as good as first party pads and tend to go for a pittance on ebay compared to the official ones.

    Hi mate,

I have 2 official snes pads spare. Both in decent condition, one is slightly scratched and both could do with cleaning but I know they work.

£8.50 shipped in the UK for both.

Give me a PM if you want them

Helps to mention that beforehand, or fill in the location field on your profile ;-)

Kiff's price was extremely reasonable, although shipping would push it up of course to the US.

Incidentally, I remember there being an issue with using foreign controllers on a certain kind of SNES. I think UK and US ones were OK, it was a problem with the Japanese, but I can't really remember.

There are several official controllers on eBay US for $8 buy it now. That's a good price. Get one of those. By the way, AVOID THE ONES IN THE MARIO BOX! They are cheap rip-offs - the same ones that are being sold for $1 as 'replacement controller'
