Wtb snes translation carts

Hi all,

I am on the lookout for either

Star Ocean
Or
Super Mario rpg

I need them in a sfc/pal shell (or at least able to fit in one) but region is cool as I have a super cic modded pal snes

Offering US$65+freight to Australia (each)

I just want to play them in the original format.

 

To be clear I want the English version of star ocean or a translated Mario rpg Japan cart or a 1.0 us cart in a sfc/pal shell

 

Yeah korea mario rpg is english with sfc shell too (sold it after finishing the story), but I don't see any copies around recently.

 

I could probably do this (I've made one reproduction, and I'm about to make four more, including Mario RPG) and I'm also located in Australia! Would you be providing the donor cart?

 

I can do the RPG cart, shipping is next to nothing anyway on something so small.

 

Doesn't the community frown on repros of games that exist official?

 

If it helps you rest at night, Mario RPG was never released in Australia Now that I think about it, many of the SNES' best titles (Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6, Mario RPG, EarthBound, E.V.O) were never released in Australia. What the hell were you thinking Nintendo?! Also, if you turn a Super Famicom into an English version of the same game, that should be OK right? It's still the same game, but now in English.

 

Rules state they cant be sold as original. Last I saw they needed marking to show they were repros.

This wont be reproduction quality (Still have jap labels on it) and its the same game, just a translated - rather than creating something super rare.

Anyways, not against the rules as they currently stand.

 

True. Mario RPG is sadly the only one of them Nintendo sold in a way fitting his description anyway.

 

I can do the StarOcean but I would need little more than 65.00. I've done 2 others and have the goods to make one more. PM if interested.

 

Can anyone explain to me why someone would want a Mario RPG reproduction?
Is there any difference from the JAP to the US version?

 

Japanese dialog. He'd need to follow a guide to follow much of the story, enemy/item/etc names, menus...

Though the Korea version is an alternative I mentioned earlier. Nintendo left that in English.

 

I would just buy a US Mario rpg but I have a modded pal snes so I would need to cut the console to fit the chip and then hope I got the version that works on multi region machines.

Basically I am looking for someone who has these and has played them and is looking to get some cash back

If I was going to have one made I would go with a guy I know who can make them for $100 each but I don't think that any video game is worth that from a "buy to play" perspective as I am not a collector so to speak, I just get what I want to play or used to play when I was a kid.

 

If you give me some time to make my own Mario RPG reproduction cart (got the parts comin' in the mail!) so I can be sure I can actually do it, I could do a reproduction cart for around the price you originally quoted. It'll be a SFC-style shell, so it'll fit in your PAL SNES, and should play, assuming your machine has no problems with NTSC games.

Cool, will let you know! From what I've heard, Mario RPG is pretty strict when it comes to copy protection, for example, it won't run if you're using a region converter cartridge. Have you heard of any issues for the mod you did?

Yeah well this fireaza is in the same city as me too and that has a big part to play. No offence intended bad_ad84, when you offered I was still hoping someone just had a pre made cart that they were done with.

From what I know the US 1.0 Mario rpg cart will work in multi region but the 1.1 broke that
