WTB private messages which are truly private via SSL certificate I believe this can be be done to part of the site and not the whole site and cheaply too. For example http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/private.php could be relatively easily changed to https://secure.assemblergames.com/forums/private.php although because of the stylesheet etc would probably get annoyed by mixed security state messages Still it would be safer than the system at present. It has been a while since I hosted a forum but IIRC if an admin wanted to they could PM snoop. I assume this ability is already disabled or only used in extreme circumstances but it would be great if this feature was removed altogether. Of course there will be the minority who may abuse the privacy but it may actually help some trades go faster and smoother due to no dilly dallying over which external provider to use and associated problems and at the same time entice more people out of the woodwork to trust and rely upon the site. Listing to take place in the form of a hacked poll to be used as a shopping cart. User votes to buy. First vote gets first dibs on that item. If the deal falls through it goes to 2nd voter. No purchases via PM, every item sold must be polled and the poll must be public. Also an automated $1 listing fee per sale thread regardless of whether there are one or a million items. If the fee isn't paid the post is not submitted. Thread cannot be updated with new items. Here we have the Data Protection act so that information has to be used for its collected purpose and only kept only for as long as needed to fulfill such purpose but other countries may have more liberal interpretations of this and may cause problems.
