WTB: SuperCIC modded SNES (50/60 Hz, PAL/NTSC), SFC games (Germany)

    Consoles:

    • SuperCIC modded PAL SNES (50/60 Hz and PAL/NTSC-J capabilities), preferably with accessories
    Games:

    • Super Mario: Yoshi Island (スーパーマリオ ヨッシーアイランド), NTSC-J, with original box and accessories
    • Super Mario World (スーパーマリオワールド), NTSC-J, with original box and accessories
    • Super Mario Collection (スーパーマリオコレクション), NTSC-J, with original box and accessories

I know that basically all of this is 'as common as it can get' but I don't nearly have enough experience with Yahoo JP and I've had my fair share of bad experiences with eBay in the past. Accordingly, I thought it might be a good idea to try my luck with you here.

Why do you want a super famicom? A modded PAL snes would be identical, except for the name on the case?

Not all games are compatible with PAL modded SNES consoles

All games work on a supercic modded pal console, which is what he asked for - but done to a superfamicom...

Thank you for the information! I've modified the thread accordingly. To be quite honest, I wasn't fully aware of this and I'm still kind of inexperienced when it comes to importing (and playing) everything that has to do with Nintendo.

SuperCIC is relatively new, but it emulates the NTSC CIC chip and the PAL CIC perfectly, it will auto switch to the correct mode and change the refresh rate (so 50hz or 60hz) based on the game you insert. You could also force the refresh rate too if you like.

Basically, get a PAL snes and get it with supercic. This should save you the hassle of yahoo jp and likely much much easier to get in Europe.

Thank you for the information! I definitely should have had checked what other options there are to modify the SNES with regard to my needs. A chip seems like the better, and ultimately more universal, option. On another note: Did my editing of the first posting somehow screw up the thread?
