Hey man, have you heard about Free McBoot? It's free and all you really need is a memory card, slide tool, a dvd-r and a copy of James Bond. It's a memory card exploit that lets you play backups etc. It's alot better and safer than Swap Magic because of all the times you jerk your drive out like that you can easily break it. I learned that the hard way. But anyway check this out.

Yeah but playing pirates may not be his motivation to get a Swap Magic disc. He might want to play imports he has or whatever. But FMCB is still best, you can just load up Cogswap on it and get the same functionality as Swap Magic, without having to pay for it.

That's not the only thing you can do with it. What else is he going to do with Swap Magic besides play backups? Does Swap Magic even have region bypassing abilities? When I used it back in the day it was just for burned games. It's primitive technology that you can do on your own without it easy enough and the manual opening of the drive puts a lot of stress on the drive itself and can break it easily. I'd rather just use McBoot or a modchip with my PS2.

Hello Nully. I've definitely heard of FreeMCB in the past. I even used to own one to go with my Fat PS2, but I realized that Swap Magic would be more useful to me because with it I can create another FreeMCB card for my PS2 and play around with PS2 homebrew on my launch PS3. Thanks for sharing that information, though!

In case you weren't aware, you can use FreeMcBoot to create another FreeMcBoot card. Just get one of the cheap games like Agent Under Fire or have someone create the card for you.

If you're in the US and pay for shipping, I can do it for free if you like. Just send me a PM.

Sorry man, the deal has already been made. My main reason for buying this is to mess around with PS2 homebrew on PS3.

Many thanks for the generous offer, though! :)
