WTB/T PS3 console (NTSC/U preferred)

Hey Guys

Looking to get a ps3 console, preferably a ntsc/u system with hardware backward compatability support, hdd size doesnt really matter, and it would be a bonus if there were a couple of games / blueray movies and controllers included in the deal

Im in the UK so would prefer to buy from someone in the UK or europe

i can either offer cold hard cash for one, or cash and trade, i currently have a new psp unit sent as a exchange from sony which has never been used, a silver ps2 console and 2x controllers and games, plus loads of xbox related items,

Anyone got one gathering dust they want to get rid of?

I have brand new (boxed, with everything) PS3 US 20GB for sale 300 Pounds and PS3 US 60GB 370 Pounds in mint condition for sale. I'm from Poland, so it will be without any taxes and customs charges.

 

Just go to ebay, there's PS3's there for $300, that's like £150, right? Shipping and customs can't be that much.

 

Not wishing to be rude or critical, but you can actually purchase the same here without any P&P and although there shouldn't be import duties or VAT added it's still be price of a games title to have it securely shipped from Poland. What advantage would it offer Didds? Makes sense in Poland perhaps!

 

You would be looking at another £50 at least, although sometimes you get lucky and they don't charge import duty. It's pretty heavy so depending on how nice the seller was you could be looking at a hell of a lot more for shipping ( some sellers have 100% mark up on their shipping ).

I was tempted to get an american launch one with backward compatibility but as I don't have any PS2 ntsc games then I think I can do without it.

Although if there is some way of booting PAL games on it i'd be interested again ( like reflashing it as a TEST console ).

 

Add to that if sent by anyone other then DHL and UPS is going to end up in Parcel Force's hand...

 

Well £200 is still better than £300 though, innit?

 

i too am open to a 150GBP/300USD price point, but alas, no one seems to really like the fact that the USD has taken a hit

You can get them for $399 new, that's only 200 quid. Less even.

 

I see there are no offers made yet? I came accross the exact same issue. No one seems to be interested in parting with a PS3 for the "usual" second-hand price.

Taucias, a new PS3 is not that helpful when all u really want is the PS2 guts inside.

Not as yet, but recent financial issues have prevented me from looking any further at the moment, as have been unable to earn a penny the last week due to being on jury duty (or as i like to call it a complete and utter waste of time and tax payers money, or alternatively a load of b*llocks)

depends on how well i do earning wise in the next few weeks i shall let you know, but at the moment its not looking promicing!

Bumping a old topic, as i have all these ps3 games and no console to play them on!

Looking for either a 20/60gb NTSC model, or at a push ill take a 60gb PAL version

Still looking, basically ill take any ps3 as long as its a Backward compat model

Trade preferred, and i also have a rather nice spec PC i may consider in trade, which ill be posting in the markeplace tomorrow once ive took the obligatiry picture

its a miniatx case pc, abit AN-M2 mobo and athlon 64 4800 duel core processor, 200gb hdd, dvd reader and writer, gforce gfx,2gb ddr2-800ram, 5.1 audio with spdif, card reader etc, running XP x64, tv card with frontpanel inputs etc.

Finally got my finances in (sort of) order, so on the lookout for a ps3 again,

Not fussed on what model anymore, but would prefer to buy from someone in the UK

Would prefer to trade, i still have loads of xbox parts, controllers, consoles, games etc. as well as a boxed 360 premium (minus the HDD) with 2x pads, (1 wired, 1 wireless) hdtv leads, memory unit, charge and play kit and a couple of games, and will also include a few original xbox titles
