I dont care if it is a repro of a retail game i will even supply the gd-r if one could be made. Must be katana and a three track disc with no cdda. Why you ask? Im trying to see if i can dump these with the sd adapter using the swap trick. I will happily buy a real gd-r as well and it will be released to the public once dumping and selfbooting has been done. I dont need an unreleased game and truthfully the cheaper the better for testing. I rip games for a small group called ReviveDC and intend to release more but with my bba system 2 disc and the fact i sold my last gd-r with data i am kinda stuck. If you would make one from a dev kit from my gd-r feeel free to add a file that says repro and mark as you see fit as this is only a test to see if it can be done via the swap trick method. Please dont bash if this isnt ok just say so but im not sure where else to find one of these outside of this forum.

You don't need a 3 track GD-R to dump GD-R via the swop trick - any 3 track GD-ROM will do.

You can't do the swop trick with a GD-R as first you need to boot the GD-R anyway, which means swop trick with GD-ROM for the first disc (lol) or using a System-Disc 2 which means the magic will stay in the flash until you reboot, which means you could / should have booted straight to the 3rd disc to begin with. A 3 disc swop trick is a little bit WTF but if you're that desperate to try it I can crack open a box and show you how pointless it is :p I broke my SD adapter though and can't remember where I put the remains =/

    Also, you don't need any GD-R or GD-ROM. You'd save a LOT of headache if you just drop $160 on a System-Disc 2 :)

As it seems you have a BBA and System-Disc 2 I'm not sure how you could be stuck though? It is kinda hard to make stuff out in your post with the lack of punctuation and paragraphs.

Posted from my cell phone and kinda hard to to properly punctuate since this forum still doesnt use a modern mobile setup. Anyhow im trying to dump via the sd method as i always do for the tosec project (112 games and counting) so i want to attempt on a gd-r. I dump the pricey bba system2 setup as i can dump a disc in 20 minutes using the sd adapter for $16 as opposed to the pretty much useless bbacase and system 2 disc. Anyhow looking for a disc to try this one if someone has an extra for sale. In your wondering why i sold the bba and system 2 disc is my 56k modem and sd card adapter does more and plays more games a fraction of the cost and this setup also allows for sega saturn online gaming as well for the same low cost.

Aha if it is just to dump a 3 track GD-R using the swop trick with an SD then really it isn't much different to doing it without an SD or with the retail disc. Really, System-Disc 2 is still your best bet as you won't get data errors and you won't have to faff about with a trap disc.

It may help you find a GD-R if you list some 3 track games as not everyone will know if they have a 3 track GD-R so here is a brief list of 3 track games:

18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker' 90 Minutes Sega Championship Football, Aerowings, Aerowings 2, Blue Stinger, Buggy Heat, Cannon Spike, Capcom vs SNK, Carrier, Charge N Blast, Confidential Mission, Crazy Taxi, Crazy Taxi 2, Daytona USA 2001, Dead or Alive 2, Dino Crisis, Dinosaur, Donald Duck Quack Attack, Dynamite Cop, ESPN International Track & Field, European Super League, Evolution, F355 Challenge (Blai was selling this for $60 last year), Fighting Vipers 2, Fur Fighters, Gunbird 2, Headhunter, Heavy Metal Geomatrix, House of the Dead 2, Iron Aces, Jet Set Radio (I'm sure Juste was selling this for £300 in the not too distant past), Jimmy Whites 2 Cueball, JoJos Bizarre Adventure, Marvel vs Capcom, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Metropolis Street Racer (I'm sure Cooleo was selling this for £50 this year), Outtrigger, Phantasy Star Online, Phantasy Star Online ver 2, Planet Ring, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, Pro Pinball Trilogy, Project Justice Rival Schools, Psychic Force 2012, Rayman 2, Red Dog, Resident Evil 3 Nemesis, Resident Evil Code Veronica, Rez, Samba De Amigo, Sega Bass Fishing, Silent Scope, Silver, Skies of Arcadia, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Shuffle, Soul Calibur, Space Channel 5, Spawn In the Demons Hand, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike, Street Fighter III Double Impact, Stupid Invaders, Super Magnetic Neo, Sword of the Beserk Guts Rage, Tech Romancer, Tee Off, TimeStalkers, Tokyo Highway Challenge 2, Tomb Raider The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider Chronicles, Toy Story 2, Virtua Athlete 2K, Virtua Fighter 3tb, Virtua Striker 2, Virtua Tennis, Virtua Tennis 2, Wacky Races, WWF Royal Rumble and Zombie Revenge.

Also Some GD-R use a different track layout to the retail game and there are more games from other regions or different titles which I CBA to list but you get the picture plus leads for some GD-R :)

Atreyu, if I understand correctly you want to test-try the swap technique on a 3track GD-R?
Why don't you try to use my guide there using a cd-r? => http://www.mediafire.com/?cnbkymnjomt

It was tested using a BBA, but afaik it should works with the sd-card reader. You could try dumping a gd-rom, even a cdda one, using the guide. As you use a cdr as a trap disc, the ring check should never be done, and dumping a gd-r or a gd-rom will be equivalent.

Sold TD Cycles and my System 2 disc not long ago as I needed some cash, I got rid of all my GD-R's that had data on them. Besides the SD adapter dumps just as fast darn near (25-30 minutes for a complete game using DC SD Ripper v1.1) and cost $16. It gives TOSEC standard dumps every time, I have personally verified over 100 games using the SD card and see the BBA as worthless trash. It can only play two games, three if you count Doom. I have my modem networked into my router with the Netopia/TLS setup and can play 6 games online and still dump games eliminating the need for a BBA or System 2 disc, even when I had it there were games I had that would not boot but the swap trick worked for me every time. I just wanted to do this to test this out was all, nothing more nothing less.

Too bad that you don't have TD Cycles anymore :-(.
However, I guess you are not interested in the Dynamite Cop GD-R?
