I'd like to get DS back online. Send details my way about finding something affordable that'll work. Or of course if you have one to offer. :boxing:

The interface doesn't matter too much. PC USB (windows 7 x64) preferred. Alternatives might include ethernet to plug right into the router, even a PCI/PCIe card?
Though dual booting with XP is still a last resort should buying Nintendo's old official unit be necessary.

    Mine works fine with a D-Link 150 DIR-600 router.
    They're only € 29 or so...

That model looks pretty common. Hope it's OK to connect a second router to what I've got.

Yeah my ISP provided me with WPA. I guess I could go bug them to request the admin password... May as well get an email address too. I don't think I've currently got ISP email, a few sites don't like web-based.

They changed your router password? Usually it's just U:Admin P:password..

Yes it appears. I did figure out how to access the limited guest menu, mostly statistics rather than configuration. They also set my WPA password.
If I had an admin password I wouldn't need this topic.

Setting your router to WEP is a bad idea. You might as well not even have any security set.

My opinion doesn't even matter. At the moment I cannot do that either way.
Brute-force login is unrealistic, way too many possible combos.

you could buy any generic router or access point and use that.
