I Always wanted a XBox 360, but I don't want to waste too much money. So I am searching a Original XBox 360 in a low price.
I dont care about its version, etc. But I want a unmodified and softmod myself.

Softmods are for the original XBOX not the 360 mate

You want an RGH or JTAG Machine

Xbox 360 consoles can be softmodded. I dont know what the other repliers were thinking, lol. Similar to the original xbox a Xbox 360 console can be softmodded to allow playing backups of games you own. The other softmod for the Xbox 360 is Xkey 360 which allows to put the Xbox 360 game iso on an external hard drive then you can play the games you own directly from an external hard drive, like an emulator. Then theres RGH or JTAG,this is a hard mod as it requires soldering of components into your console.

If you want a Xbox 360 console,i may be able to help you out. The problem is where is it being sent to as postage may kill the deal. I can also have it pre-softmoded to allow playing of backups of games you own for free if you wish.

    No, you can't "softmod" a 360.

Anyone who is telling you that you can is either:

    1) Lying
    2) Doesn't understand WTF they are talking about

The only known softmod avenue was the King Kong exploit and that has long since been patched.

Current mods all require opening the system and modifying the hardware inside.

People who want to pirate software will flash the DVD drive with hacked firmware. This allows for copies to play, but does not allow for homebrew.

If you want to run homebrew (such as emulators, etc.) then you need either a JTAG or RGH mod.

The JTAG mod is the closest you're going to get to a softmod (from a technical perspective) but even that requires hardware to write to the onboard flash chip (and installed the hacked software there) as well as install about $2 worth of components.

The RGH mod does require special hardware.

No matter what you do, if you're modding a 360 it requires opening the system and hacking at the hardware.

Unless you are a software genius (who hasn't shared his/her methods with anyone) there is no current way to mod an Xbox 360 purely via a software exploit.

    No softmod for you.

Sorry, not wishing to debate in a for sale thread but your wrong.

    Definition of a softmod
A softmod is a method of using software to modify the intended behaviour of hardware, such as video cards, sound cards, or game consoles in a way that can overcome restrictions of the firmware, or install custom firmware

Wether you open the console or not,it is still softmodding by definition as you are only changing a consoles behaviour to remove restrictions. The JTAH or RGH method is considered as i have said a hard mod,as all hard mods require the use of components to be soldered to the console. Buyer wants to softmod it themselves so they dont wish to run homebrew or have the hassle of soldering components that if not done correctly can ruin the console.

    I stand by my statement
