I've been scouring the net looking for the fabled adapter that allows an PC ATX PSU to be used to power the classic Xbox. Only problem is that the only site selling the parts seems to no longer have them anymore. ...ever... So I'm asking YOU. I'd prefer the first revision if possible since it's smaller but if you have a second revion too that will work also. Price is no objection since this thing won't be much over the $40 to $50 range (USD).

Need this for my long term plans of making something else from my 'box that needs it to be as small as possible. My route is to use a DC to DC PSU so me Xbox runs off 12 volt DC current. Then run that all from 3 LIPO batteries in series for 11.1 volt output. I guess you may have figured out my idea by now and thus why I need it to be as small as possible...

    Portable Xbox?

It's been tried, but failed many times. Too hot, too much power draw.
it could work, with a backpack filled with car batteries.

I has plans to combat the heat issues. As in I know a thing or 2 about ventilation and with that knowledge as well as some low profile heat pipe setups I found the other day it should expell the heat OK.

I bid you good luck. I tried a GC portable, and it did not go well.

Actually I just got lazy and never finished it. Everything is there, all neatly soldered, but I have issues with cases.

this would be pretty easy to build, the pinouts are swapped around and you would have to change PS_ON and PWR_OK voltage.
from memory xbox need 3.3V not 5V
have done it a long time ago - there used to be lots of information on xbox-scene

^ the circuit used to change the 5v to the needed 3.3v is rather complicated. I may have to bite the bullet and search the net completely to find a schematic to make the regulator. swapping the wire locations is no biggie to me. In fact that would be "child's play" for me. So, anyone have any recommendations on the best way for making the regulator circuit? I know it's more than just some caps, resistors, and the regulator itself.
