This is simply a check but I've kinda been wanting a DVD emu card for my xbox dev kit ever since I got it not too long ago. I don't have much money to spend on it but if you're selling one, let me know what you're looking for it. I'd also appreciate it if you told me of someone you might know that is selling his/hers.

    Thanks.

What's the interest of DVD emulation card? The kit can't emulate DVD?

  4. ....What! So the Raptor DVD Emulator that I use EVERY day to emulate DVD's doesn't exist, it's just a figment of my imagination

I think he was just asking a question, not making a statement.

Haliway, the DVD emulator is basically a hdd that looks (to the devkit) like a DVD. It saves you having to burn DVDs all the time just to make small changes.

  6. ...I've never used it to save burning DVD's.

Or, more specifically, it is so you can specifically *test* for DVD issues, such as data layout and loading times. Yes, you can run code from the hard drive, just as you can on a modded system, but that doesn't allow for accurate testing. To see how your code will really behave you either need to burn it to disc, or emulate a disc. Hence, the desire for the card. Unless you are doing serious developing (serious to the point that you are worried about the physical location of the files on your DVD) you don't need the DVD card. ;)
