Reminds me of the Japanese Dead or Alive Kasumi-Chan xbox.

It would do as its exactly the same colour, only difference is it doesn't had the DOA branding on it, it was released in limited quantities in asia and the US for the launch of Halo 2

It was never officially released in the US (which saw the green Halo bundle) but rather in Canada. The Canadian version (labeled NTSC/UC) of the console was bundled with Halo 2, a 2 month Live subscription and a mail-in offer for a free headset. It originally sold for $259 CDN and is pretty common, only really commanding any sort of premium if it is sold in a factory sealed box in minty fresh condition. I can't speak to the Asian release, but I would hesitate to call the Canadian Halo 2 Xbox "limited" any more than the green NTSC/UC Halo Xbox.

They are pretty uncommon on this side of the pond. The Green Halo2 was also available in the UK and I (along with others) would probably feel comfortable describing it as "limited" as that's precisely what they were. I.e. sold for a relatively short period of time in smaller numbers.

They are definately not as limited as the likes of certain other Xbox units such as the Mountain Dew, Hulk, Smokey or whatever, which are more accurately described as rare as they are harder to obtain and were produced in smaller numbers or not released in all regions.

I think with this particular Blue unit "limited" is actually a fair description as that's how Microsoft themselves described it on the box i.e. "Limited Edition". If you are also familiar with the various LE editions you'll also be aware that the Asian edition has a black jewel in the middle rather than the silver jewel (bit of geek fact for you there). So if you are a truly anal collector then even if you owned the Canadian version, you may very well want an Asian edition too.

Even if it were a Canadian released unit, simply applying shipping costs, import duty and the fact Canada Post sucks almost as bad as Royal Mail this item's price doesn't seem particularly high to me. You have to remember that Diddydonn paid for shipping & VAT on this item and has done the painful bit lol. I'd have loved it boxed

I also appreciate the fact Diddydonn has OBO after the price. 'Tis open to some negotiation, which is precisely what I think I might do. PM sent Didds!
