WTS: SW-9585-C DVD drive and other stuff

40USD ON HOLD pending me changing banks or figuring out how money orders work.

This is in Like New condition. Honestly, I don't think that it has ever been used. Physically, it is in perfect condition. However, it does not come with a box, so like new seems more appropriate.

Tested. Reads and burns fine. I did a couple of read tests and one burn to an RW with imgburn. No errors.

I guarantee against DOA, I will refund everything but shipping.

    SHIPPING:
Actual. A flat-rate box should cost around 5USD for inside the US. If you live outside, It will probably be close to 13USD for shipping.

If there are any questions or anything I forgot, just let me know.

    STARFOX 64 JPN:
    10USD

Works fine. I took the case off my n64 and the game played fine.

    SHIPPING:
    FREE worldwide.

    PAYMENT:
Paypal gift, cash, check, whatever. Paypal is preferred, but we can talk.

I probably should've mentioned that this drive is similar to the drive used in Nintendo RVT-R burners.

With the right tools, you can flash this drive with a firmware that allows you to burn and rip NR and RVT-T discs. (Not included)

    Sorry. It's IDE.

I was really hoping to sell these faster. :/
Price on the drive raised by 4USD, but now shipping to the US is free.

The starfox game now has free worldwide shipping.

I dont think anyone is going to pay $50 for an untested drive, when they can get one for that price on ebay

    Thanks for the feedback.
I'll test it and post back. It'll take like 5 mins to hook this up.

    EDIT:
Tested. Reads and burns fine. I did a couple of read tests and one burn to an RW with imgburn. No errors.

That drive is overpriced. What makes it so expensive?

First, this type of drive just isn't cheap. (Check ebay)
Second, an official RVT-R burner costs hundreds of dollars, so this is cheap by comparison.

I'll offer you $45 for it, I would take your $50 deal but I don't live in the US! What will it cost me to send to New Zealand?

    I'll price shipping

BUT(!) I want you to be aware that this burner will not be flashed with the firmware required to turn it into an RVT-R burner.

    Are you still interested?

    Okay.

The lowest quote I can find online is 13.95USD through USPS.
I can drop the price down to 40USD, bringing your total to 53.95.

I can go into the Post Office tomorrow and price how much it would cost to mail a small cardboard box instead of a flat-rate box.

    It's up to you.

    EDIT:
I took the top off of my n64 to test starfox. It worked fine through all the levels. I never have been able to defeat Andross, though.

Both items are still available. I guess PS2GUY didn't want it.

Price lowered to 40USD, with buyer covering actual shipping. This is as low as I can on this.

If it'll fit into a small flat rate box you can ship it for about $5 anywhere in the US. If it won't a step up to the medium flat rate box will be about $10. Priority mail ftw. The fun part is that as long as it'll fit into the box and weighs less than 70lbs (yes they actually say 70lbs which I assume means you could pop in a lead ingot and it would only cost $5) it'll only cost that one flat rate. Love it for shipping on eBay.

And yes people, this drive is expensive as it is no longer produced and eBay is the only real source for them at this time. I'm jump on this but I have to finish procuring parts for another sale.

So, I just found out my bank is going to charge me $7.00 because my monthly balance is less than a certain amount. Seeing as $7 is 25% of my current balance, I am closing my account.

Until I can find a new bank that doesn't sell out its customers, this drive is going to be trade only.(Not that anybody wants to buy it. I'm just putting the offer out there.

    What would I trade for?
-A modded gamecube (With something to bring value up to 40ish dollars.)
    -an IDE-EXE adapter
    -An NR beta/preview
-Anything really worth around 40USD and not related to microsoft, sony or apple.

I have a modified gamecube, DOL-001 board, DOL-101 drive with a XenoGC 2.0 chip ordered from assembler. It's not the best soldering job since it was my first time soldering, but it works flawlessly.

I replaced the case with a clearish blue case that fits full size DVD-R. I'm not too sure if I'd be willing to trade it just yet, but would that fit what you're looking for?

Also, it was having some annoying issues reading Verbatim DVD-R discs, and kept having disc read errors. I lowered the pot to 205 ohms, and it's working fine.
