Wow, please tell me you took a pic of the box before you opened it. I put a ton of padding in that box and even taped it in place. I don't understand how this could have happened, sorry mate :(

Let me know what you'd like to do other than filing an insurance claim with USPS. I want to make it right.

I am willing to fix it for free and cover return shipping if ASSEMbler wants it repaired. I have enough good condition parts and the expertise to fix it correctly so everyone walks away happy. Just wanna help the big guy out.

I'd let him check there are internal faults first. It may just be a case of someone having to donate a few case parts to him.

@ASSEMbler I'm about 99.9% sure the motherboard is fine. Just open it clean up all the broken plastic parts mine as well put new fresh thermal paste. Put on a mint white faceplate and it'll look just fine.

Waiting on seller's reply. Opening would mean breaking the seals. I'm picking up a
360 tool from a friend. The board is a jasper, which costs about $50. Problem is the custom
intern apps on the hdd. I won't turn it on unless he says it's ok, because if I do it and
it fries, I don't want to be responsible.

The packaging was mostly "air pillows" which don't have much strength. They all popped
and for the rest of the trip it just bounced around in the box.

Bleck. I've had less damage on the outside with a ton of damage in the inside. Sometimes shells just explode on consoles with little to no trauma.

I think attempting to turn it on should be ok - doubt that would fry anything. It's up to you Assembler. At least then we would know if it needs to be repaired. And if so perhaps XboxSurgeon could help with that.

Yeah I am contacting him, he knows what to do and has parts. Can you call the post office and see if they do partial damage? I know
priority mail has $50 blanket insurance which would cover the MB.

@ASSEMbler That sucks man. I hope you are able to get it fixed. At least the seller is being cool and trying to fix the situation.

Not sure about partial refund, but be prepared to wait a good 10 - 11 months before you get your money back. Happened to me with a broken neon sign.

I opened the system by heating the seals with a hairdryer, saved the seals. Opened the system and cleaned out the plastic bits, metal noise was a broken choke. Replaced from a donor system, and it powers up just fine. Just need a faceplate.
