I offer my partially working PS2 TOOL for a trade. I would really like to keep this unit and see it running games, but I think I don't have enough time nor the necessary knowledge to do this. So probably someone other can finish the job.

history: I bought a working TOOL from an Assemblergames member, but received it partially working. The PC part is working fine, but the PS2 part outputs only some kind of test screen (color bars) and no games can be started. The hardware itself has no visual damage. Find more information here: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15498

    I'm mainly interested in hardware:
    - loose Sega or Victor Wondermega 1st model (Japan)
    - loose PS3, european model
    - PS2 TEST unit with hdd support
    - PS2 slimline TEST unit
    - IS-NITRO-VIDEO
    - Videoboy (a special Virtual Boy demonstration unit)
    - other Virtual Boy development stuff
    - Sharp X68000
    - ...

I still have the original unit you traded against this Max. Through a friend I managed to obtain a couple of capture units, so I am more than willing to reverse the trade! Hate the idea of you being left with a faulty unit and I just ignored it. I might be able to get this unit running again.

    Pay carriage and it's yours!

So it's broken. No such thing as partially working.

Henceforth I am no longer trading / swapping or selling Tool units. They are not travelers and courier companies (even reputable ones) treat them badly. I've seen too many of these units get damaged en route. It's not just me who's been unlucky. Whenever one ends up being sent I get a PM from the new owner or the sender asking for advice!

It's likely that my Tool issues have been caused by simply obtaining them! As for the 2 mentioned here, embarrassingly they both came from me and they were BOTH (and I genuinely 100% mean this) worked perfectly prior to sending them to their unfortunate owners.

Max's arrived in Germany in one piece but no longer functioning. That one was the basis of the entire Tool thread found on AG. I took that unit to bits perhaps 8 times and it worked perfectly!

Ol's unit was thrashed by the courier. I take images prior to posting and the thing was clearly dropped from a height.

I think you two should speak to one another and do a deal to get 1 of these units up and running. Ol I hope you took the matter further with DHL and Max, I am seriously still open to accepting that first unit back and repairing it for you or reversing the trade.

Tool shop open, but sales closed lol
