it's outstanding because RGB quality out of it is simply put outstanding.
I don't know what do you expect from a product
you just keep ranting, maybe you can make better products than micomsoft wiseguy ^_~

It's just humorous to me that you think it's a great product when you aren't using any of it's features. When you use it's RGB output, you may as well just connect the Neo Geo straight to your monitor...

    oh really?
how do you think that would be possible?
do you even own Neo Geo and are familiar with its audio/video outputs?
they are very limited originally(regular composite video and mono sound, not even stereo :icon_bigg).
and no - something as let's we say scart RGB cable in Japan is pretty much non-existent in states, if that's what you mean(my monitor does not have euro/scart input).
I'm waiting for your answer to this one.
and I am curious how you have connected your neo geo, and which cable you're using.

I think what Calpis is trying to say is the box is a waste of money as effectively it's connecting up the Red, Green, Blue, Composite Sync and ground from the 8 pin din and the Audio from the the front headphone jack to a box and a 15 pin connector.

Anyone with some soldering skills and $4 worth of parts could make effectively the same thing...

well, nobody I know could do it or were willing to do so.
and I know quite a lot people who do have Neo Geo's but are using either composite or component modded system, very few uses RGB monitors(except cabs).
if you know anyone who could provide such cables I would gladly buy them for Saturn, Dreamcast, Neo Geo, Snes, N64, PC-Engine for sure.

Yes, and I've always only used the composite cable, I suppose like a chump? Your posts have made it abundantly clear how pretentious yet ill-informed the RGB club is.

You're right, I forgot how unplayable games are in composite. I should really be using it as a patch cable like you, that would make much more sense...

it's not that, but why are you limit yourself to gaming in worse video quality?
