    Hi all.
I wonder if someone can help me with an issue I have.
I had an xecuter 3 and the front panel kicking around so I bought an old Xbox and installed it and its being a bit odd.
If I boot banks 1-2-3-4 seperatly it boots to flash bios quite happily. If I long press it boots to ms dash just fine.

If however I boot 1-2 or 3-4 (1mb bios) its reboots 3 times and frags. Its also the same if I remove the switch panel
I bought the chip years ago but saw it working on the box it was installed on.
I am guessing the install was ok as it boots to Cromwell and ms dash boots OK.

Is it possible that the box was a 1.6 and the chip has a 1.6 bios on it? If not does anyone have any ideas?
I have tried to flash via network to the box and it just hangs if that's significant in any way?

Thanks in advance. You might just save my sanity.

Sounds like the file flashed isn't setup to be run as 2 1mb files.

This happened to me also, Check to see if the flash lock is on, on the modchip. If it is your chip won't flash. I also recomend making a flash disc. I just burned a 100mb dummy file and bios to a cd and it worked. also if you leave all ports unpushed it defaults to the 1mb bios bank i think.

Thanks for the replays guys. I rechecked my soldering. Chip now works but I have a different problem.
On 1 I have 3294 bios but I was messing around and put a password on it which I now realise has a bug and won't display your dash.
I have flashed m8 1mb on the box and it boots perfectly to evox. I have made a bios folder on c: and flashed from there. I need to flags an older x3 bios on there. Delete the password then flash 3294 on there. But I can find every bios on the planet but an older x3 one.
    Any ides guys?
    Many thanks again.
