To me the box looks so small it doesnt look like a 360 fits in it. Also remember theres the controler to fit in and the HD wont come fitted to the xbox. You have to fit it in your self.
SINNER!! How thou dare to chosse satan intead of your savior, the mighty MegaDrive!! No prob dude, anyways, Ill too buy a X360, after the launch hype-wave. I dont know why, the whole Xbox project has a sega-ish feeling. Maybe some ex-sega employees went there after the DCs crash.
I actually bothered to watch the 360 unveiling thing on MTV, and when I saw the actual system, I was in awe. In awe at how un-awe inspiring it was. When I hear a new system is coming out, and I finally see the final design, I really expect a lot. This thing is really bland looking in my opinion. On the other hand, I really have no intention of getting a 360 anyway. I'm only 13 and don't have a job, so any of the next-gen systems aren't even worth asking for until they go WAY down in price.
I think the PS3 looks shit full stop ! The X360 does look bland but that's fine because it's to sit under the TV. The colour is good and looks light while the PS3 looks like a really heavy mother f*cker with a 90's silver colour scheme. Personally I loved the looks of the Dreamcast and not because I like Sega but because it was compact and easy to place any where with out being an eye sore while the PS2 is this big industrial hulking heap of black plastic that sticks out like a sore thumb. This is probably why I like the design of the X360 so much. It's there and pleasing enough to the eye yet it can go by un-noticed. Yakumo
you know im curious, how come you sold your super famicom yakumo, due to space or was it the mod you used on it?
How does the PS2 stick out like a sore thumb? It just looks like any other component you might have in your Hi-Fi/VCR/DVD shelf.
Because my SFC was still in my UK home with a wild card. I sold everything to pay for driving lessons The reason I don't have one now is due to space but I still think its a great system. Yakumo
i m ust admidt the 360 is looking fine....compared to the ps3 in both software and hardware ways i havent seen anything software wise on either system that screams "BUY IT" but the 360 does have better software support...
i stick with the revolution as favorite for now, but the xbox360 is going up (and ps3 is going down at the same time). that's weird, the first xbox never really attracted me game-wise, i hate sports tittles and fps on consoles can be good, but pc is better for this kind of game(like halo better on xbox than pc though, but i think halo is over-hyped anyway.) well, you don't see the box fully, so you can't really tell, neither can we.
Cahaz, there are more than just sports games and FPS games on the XBOX -_- As far as "favorite" next gen system goes, I'm going to have to go with the X360 since there is practically no info on the Revolution [I can't judge a system I know SO little about.] and there really aren't any games that appeal to me on the PS3 as of now. Also, I've put too much money into Live! so I think I'm better to stick with the X360 for now. If there is a sequel to R&C on the PS3, I will pretty much HAVE to pick one up. R&C is 3D platforming Gold that just shouldn't go unnoticed.
Well you kinda do. You see how tall a box is compared to the machine and you can also see how wide it is because you can use the logo from the box on the right. If you add that to the box on the left you can see that the box is pretty small compared to the xbox. Also the psu is meant to be built in as far as i know. Eva got his information about the psu being external from those pictures of a kid playing one and because he aparently said it was a big external psu he had on his beta kit.
Yes if you still have 80's stuff on your shelf, even my 30 euro's x-brand dvd player looks more stylish then an older model PS2. The ps two however is well designed as you can hide it out of sight easily. Design wise the xbox 360 is the winner to me, customizable front will add to the look even more. The PS3 has a bit too much "bling" factor for me and i hate the look of the ps3's controller it's like someone painted a banana silver and stiffed it with globs of plastic for buttons.
No, last year I went home for a few month to get my driving license but thanks to the stupid F*cked up system in the UK I ended up needing more cash so I had a look in the loft and found loads of my old minty stuff and sold it since I wouldn't be taking it back to japan since I could buy them there cheap. The onlything I did sell which was a loss to me was the Wild Card but I know it went to a good home. The SFC had a direct RGB scart coming from it's mother board as well. Yakumo
Well, considering that the case design for the original PS2 was pretty much a direct copy of an old computer, it would look out of place in your entertainment rack unless your Hi-Fi system and VCR were of an early 80's vintage. -hl718
