Hey, any idea which 3D scopes are compatible with both systems? I have never seen one and google does not really help :-(
If you are talking about the 3D port on the back of the system, you can wire up a pair of easy to find master system glasses to it. Most systems used the LCD glasses and all they are, are two LCD screens that have a voltage going through them and ground, so they are on or er off.
In some FM Towns games (e.g. Image Fight or Final Blow) you can select a 3D-Scope mode. The picture then looks like the Sega/Nintendo 3D games of '87. But neither on my Martys nor on my FM Towns Fresh E is such a connector for 3D glasses. Maybe I should just try to run a 3D-Scope enabled game on the FM Towns and look with the glasses connected to my Sega/Nintendo running another game at the screen...?
Tried it and it works. Had the SegaScope 3-D glasses connected to a Master System Converter on a Multi Mega, running a Master System 3D enabled game. The glasses are flickering the whole time now and are usable with the two 3D enabled FM Towns games. The only thing that is irritating is a horizontal bar that moves from top to bottom of the screen. Are there more 3D enabled games for the FM Towns or just these two?
Since the Sega and Nintendo glasses are compatible with each other they will work with the method I described. Don't know about native connectors on the FM Towns though-
