So I just bought an Xbox 1 so I could play Tron 2.0 which isn't compatable with the 360. I had the pc version of the game but really wanted to play the console version. With the 360 not achieving perfect emulation of the original games, its nice to finally have the original console.

Can anyone recommend some games that aren't compatable with the 360 that I can check out? I know Steel Battalion is definitly one. I just don't want to miss out on anything good thats not on the usual xbox game lists.

Mech Assault 1 is kinda nice.

And everyone unofficially loves Metal Wolf Chaos (It is kinda nice. Real last-gen eye candy.)

If you're a European, Silent Hill 2 and Project Zero (Fatal Frame 1) claim to be supported, but really aren't. Same goes for Panzer Dragoon Orta (don't think they ever fixed the crash bug after the 3rd stage). All 3 are solid games.

And Steel Battalion is indeed an awesome treat if simulation is your thing.

Also, I second Gunvalkyrie, if you can overcome the controller scheme! (It really is a hit or miss)

Yeah, it was never fixed and probably never will be (it was actually after the 2nd stage IIRC).

MvC2 also claims to be supported, but sprites are a mess when playing it on 360. Of course, there's little reason to play the Xbox version anymore, but I was definitely pissed before the XBLA release.

i wanted to like gun valkerie but couldn't get over the controls try as I might. Advent Rising was pretty nice, I never got far but that's because I got bored. Good game as far as I can tell, I just have ADD xD

Sudeki is another that doesn't work on a 360, no great loss though.

Hey that's right you can do that now. I've actually chipped two of them. It's a good time if you are into electronics. I also loved replacing the HDDs with big drives and jamming them full of ROMs and Xbox games. Ironically though, I used my old XBox more as a media center than a game machine. For a few years it was my Divx box hehe. If it could handle H.264 it would still be in use but sadly the Celeron is way too slow.

The other day I was pondering whether or not my softmodded Wii was actually a superior game machine compared to the Xbox 1. Frankly I think the Xbox 1 is probably superior because it has more quality games and it can do everything a modded Wii can anyway, and it has the HDD and PSU inside. Xbox 1 is certainly cheaper today too. Hell I think many Xbox games look better than almost all Wii games. Oh and Xbox 1 can output 720p & 1080i which Wii can not do, and this is useful for emulators. Wii bleh....

Ditto - I got about 4 good years of use out of my xbox as a media centre/emulator. Still works, but I connect my pc > tv now so it's just gathering dust. Still, a modded xbox is a beautiful machine... even now.

Back on topic, is there a website that lists xbox1/360 compatibility?

Jet Set Radio Future, PD Orta, Ninja Gaiden, Outrun 2, Gunvalkyrie and Phantom Crash

Altough most are compatible they play like sh*t with lots of dropped frames on a 360

I think the European version of Orta crashes. I'm around the supposed Crash point in the US version

Cautionary note - The PC version of Advent Rising is better if you can get it working as it had some bugs cleaned up and runs smoother.
