well it should be, it certainly works for retail. That said, no idea if you can dump and use XBOX1 discs.

I tried your suggestion with a retail xbox 1 disc, but it won't run. Does anyone know how to run these games from your hd of a 360 dev?

As long as you have the xbox 1 dev compatibility installed.

Wow, thats something 360 devs can do?

I know for a fact that retails at least don't let you install Xbox games....unless I just can't find the option.

Actually, if you own a Xbox360 with an hard disk (most people do, right ?) you can play certain XBOX games. He meant that you need to install a "XBOX compatibility" update to the unit. I never knew such option existed for DEV units, but on retails, once you pop in a XBOX disc and it is connected to XBOX Live it will check if the game is supported nad if an updated version of the emulator exists. If it exists or if it's the first time one uses reverse compatibility an update will be downloaded and installed (on the hard disk).

So the hard disk is required to play classic XBOX titles.

I've always wondered if the emulator is generic and has a config or patches for the supported games or if it was a specific emulator for each game.

Seeing as the updates tend to be rather small I would say that its generic. With that said I am curious (if its generic) how how complete it is and how hard it would be to get other games to run.

No Its Currently Not Possible To Do Xbox 1 Games on Xbox 360 Dev Consoles
It Would Be Cheaper And easier To Go Buy An Xbox 1 Console And Do it With Xbox Media Center

Thanks for the replies I'd figure I can't do it with the retail I'm having here as it is not on the backward compatibility list.

So, I read places on the net some games not in the list will run (talking about retail). What are they? No way to force them to run or anything right?

From what I've understood sofar is that it is only possible with those on the bc list. But Pikkon tells us differently. Pikkon ware you able to run all retails? Also those not on the list?

Yes, ok, maybe I wrongly formulated it? I'll rephrase it: Pikkon, which games are in your more list?

Then why post to answer a question, if you yourself aren't sure..?

Next time atleast read the topic before blindly posting.
