Came across this thread in a search and thought I'd contribute: 2001-11-07 2090181-14402 422-2090181-14402 For the record and for future readers coming across this thread, the number of LT units is said to be around 1,000, according to Xbox's Supply Chain Program Manager (in 2001), M. Michelleti / Assembler Games user mmm206: Looks like you guys who speculated 1k back in 2014 were correct.
wish i still had mine bought it at launch after obsessing for like a year about its release. so this is cool but my current xbox is a 2004 refurb i'm gonna mod
Damn, these things are legendary. My xbox has 2 labels. First one with all the details: 2002 - 12 - 11 5072932 25005 452 5072932 25005 and then on the other side just above the shiny silver label I have: "Notice: Power cord inside this Xbox package has been replaced with a new cord in Febraury 2005. *Some chinese I suppose* (C) 2005 Microsoft Corporation"
As far as I can tell it must be a 1.1, single straight line power header and can do just about any mod on it. Has an Aladdin Advance V1 (V1.0 - V1.6) modchip installed. My apologiez for the mess on all the labels, still busy working on it so haven't cleaned it up yet. Your guess would be as good as mine, although if I had to guess I would say it is unsold stock that just laid around till 2005, got repackaged with an updated, more stable PSU? An interesting thing to note is that we had an Xbox (2001 MFG) in which the Power Supply only had the single straight line power header (12 Pin), this little guy had a different power supply with 2 power headers: At the moment I'm rebuilding the power supply harness onto an old PC power supply, What's amazing about the PC PSU is that it is barely 8mm wider than the original and about 50mm shorter than the original PSU. See below: (Original PSU (96W) at the left, new PSU (300W) at the right.)
So I'm still stumped, is this just a plain retail black console? This thread is for gathering all the Launch Team 2001 serial numbers. MT: I'm guessing this console is from Singapore or something as those SEA consoles had the product codes on the labels.
Yes, I would say Singapore or Asia also since I just checked my green Halo 2 and it has the same symbols as well as that middle sticker.
I think Pieter's heart was in the right place but maybe his posts should be removed. It is a bit confusing since it has no relevance to the rest of the thread.
