I don't even own a 360 myself, but I am excited for such a complete cable solution. A video-buff's wet dream at: http://www.teamxtender.com/ Scroll down for the post and pictures. They also sell a component cable that works for the PS2/XBOX/360, too.
That is such a waste. A true "videophile" will only run a piece of equipment at its optimal output. There would never be a need for this kind of Frankencable unless you plan on lugging the 360 around to parties all the time. On the other hand, those full black cases have my attention...
What the hell do those mean? Optical signal? It's compatible with an integrated amplifier, what's it integrated with? 1080p? Nice...
Of course a videophile would use equipment to its fullest potential quality-wise. However, if said person happened to take the 360 to say... a friend's house, and this friend doesn't have the latest television. Bam. Or, what if you can't use the downstairs HDTV for some reason and need to move the 360 upstairs? I'm constantly moving my systems around, so such a cable would be convenient as a jack-of-all-trades solution. 6. Just saying it's not a (typically) low-quality HK economy cable. It will be durable and built with high-quality materials to ensure fast data transmission. 11. Optical signal AKA Toslink AKA a major surround sound output. Provides 5.1+ digital surround. 12. Cable works with either A/V receiver or display's internal amp-speakers. 15. D2 and D4 are names for Japanese TV resolution standards, but otherwise, your 480, 720, and 1080 resolutions are compatible with displays worldwide.
I think you're kidding yourself if you think a cable like this isn't going to be made as cheaply as possible. Multi-end cables are always subject to signal degradation and interference. I'll stick with keeping an official component cable around. Guaranteed to work with anyone's TV, HD or not. -hl718
