Was looking to buy a couple of cheap ps2 controllers on aliexpress and stumbled upon this. It's a wireless, 3rd party, Xbox 360 controller for psx/ps2/ps3 (and pc and android). Is this facking awesome or what? I wonder what 2.4ghz is though? Bluetooth? Do any official controllers use this so called 2.4ghz? Here's the link http://www.aliexpress.com/item/4in1...-Joypad-Handle-Joystick-with/32307183909.html
Apart from able to be used on PC as well. Using this on the Playstation consoles would feel really weird. (they don't use triggers, excluding PS3).
I see what you mean. Having the dpad "switch place" with left stick like that would also be a bit weird. But cool none the less.
Not really sure why someone would want to replace a ps3 controller for a xb360 one. The D pad on the 360's controller is the bane of my fast reflex games on my PC. Although driving games are better with the 360 controller, so maybe that's a reason
If you want decent analog sticks and triggers then it's a good idea. I was never a fan of the PS dpad anyways although I hate the XBox one even more. The 8bitdo controllers work with PS3 now I think (well the Pro version does at least) so if you want to play retro games I would use one of those. Mine hooks up to my laptop via bluetooth (dinput) or USB (xinput) and is my favourite PC pad.
Holy crap. How is the compatibility with this controller? It sounds promising, but does it work like the xbox 360 controller where it just seems to work with most games? I think I see the next thing on my purchase list..
In XBox mode you have to connect via USB but it functions exactly like an XBox 360 pad, only hangup is L2 and R2 are digital not analog, it shows up in windows as an XBox pad and every game I've tried on my tablet. In bluetooth mode it functions like a generic pad so some games which are set up for this, Burnout Paradise for example lets you map your own controller. You can get them in Snes and Famicom colours too, I have the special edition year of the sheep Famicom version!
It's pretty sweet indeed. Found the nes30 pro version on aliexpress for $10 cheaper than from the official site http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free...mepad-8Bitdo-for-iOS-Android/32471085264.html The fc30 pro version is only $4 cheaper though http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free...k-Support-IOS-Android-Mac-OS/32329276577.html
That's about the standard price on eBay, I like the NES version the best though. I got mine in the special edition colours because it was an early release and I'm impatient!
I was comparing to 8bitdo's official ebay store though Haha and I'm jealous of your special edition. It looks the best to me lol
2.4ghz is standard wifi frequency. Most modern controllers use this. The item looks like a cheap clone of the CronusMax http://cronusmax.com. This allows programming of a xbox or PS style controller to work with either system, not sure about psx or ps2. Has a lot of other features too.
Thanks for explaining. As for the item, you are mistaken. It is not a tool to reprogram your original joypads. It is a cloned x360 joypad made to be compatible with Playstation consoles from PS1 to PS3, PC and Android.
