Xbox 360 is in the UK!!! It's in a Game store in a town near where I live, not surprised to see it there since Game's HQs are in the same town as the store, they always kind of pilot stuff there. I manage to take some pics with my phone sorry for the quality, the pod was not really accessible there was about 10 people playing and staring at the screen, Call of Duty was on demo and it was quite impressive. I will take a closer look later, but there seemed to be a few games demo available. I was not really excited by this new generation but seing the machine I can say that I'm really impressed. :icon_bigg :nod: Sabre
Even the 360 demos are nicer in the uk, if one thing i can say, mircrosoft european team is better at stylish looking demo units. As for the demos, if its same as us, it will be cod2, kameo,and king kon.
I saw a unit out of the box (just a shell, maybe?) in the window of one of our Game stores. I'll have to have a closer look later Stone

These are the same exact demo pods that CompUSA and Best Buy use here in my city. Even the display is the same.
Sony won't use memory cards for the PS3, but straight to brain anthropormophic brain topography memory transfer! ...of course this feature will be cut at the last moment because "they didn't have time to implement it" and they will happily sell you a $60 Pro Duo for saving.... same old Sony hype machine....Promise the PS4, deliver the PS3..... ( Wait, isn't the PS3 supposed to use networked processing and be able to render Toy Story in real time - or was that the PS2, seems they use the same hype every time!)
played one of these in game yesterday in my town (leeds) and tbh i was incredibly unimpressed. call of duty looks like a three year old pc game and certainly didnt raise any next gen excitement in me. the actual unit is quite big and the controller isnt half as nice as everyones been saying. also, why the hell are they playing COD and not pgr3 or perfect dark on them?
Because the games clearly weren't ready, and probably still aren't. I expect PD to be buggy as hell and it has been admitted from microsoft that it doesn't look very "next gen". They mentioned it started out as an xbox game with mods, so there you go. Sony will probably come up with "super special gate" cards, and then I'll need to stock three levels of cards for all the generations of systems.
Let's not go there again, please? I can't look at a Sonic game the same anymore... Still no pods I have seen around here, and from the sounds of it, I am not missing much.

I saw some guy playing King Kong and my god when the camera turned it stuttered like no-ones business... I'm assuming its cos it was a demo and the code isnt finished or w/e, but jeeze... I had a go on COD or w/e, it was ok, im not huge on the historical style FPS.. War is shitty I have no desire to re-enact it in that manner - fake wars like Halo or w/e different kettle of fish, killing small aliens is perfectly fine in my book.. I still have my 360 ordered for launch though, I wish i was as excited as I have been at past launches (the Dreamcast launch for example, or the N64)
No, it's not. They have these in the US as well. I played on one at my last visit to the Best Buy in Addison, IL. Which is next to the Walmart that I took the earlier pictures of a different 360 kiosk.
