So today i went to the no jtag section and see that Colours uploaded an indie game called Unstoppable Chopper downloaded it, open it up in horizon and see the whats inside and there i see a .exe, so im saying let me try to extract all the contents. Extract it and the UnstoppableChopperXbox.exe has this icon: so im wondering an xbox 360 icon? I know that indie games are made on windows and transfer to xbox 360 but if we can get this exe running we can get xbox 360 indie games on pc running, we can also create indie games our self and transfer to xbox. But probably risk of getting banned and this getting patched Here is the pics of the inside contents: all the folders have files that are encoded in .xnb which probably means xbox 360 format so if any one wants to try to get this game run, it would helpful to the community here is a link for the inside contents http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1NYV0VBA ohh don't try to take this link and post on other forums if you do, don't say you found out.
First answer: How the hell is pirating an XBLIG "helpful to the community"? Short answer: No. Long answer: The XNA framework works on both Xbox 360 and the PC, but the executable is not compatible between platforms. *.xnb files are just the assets, but those could differ between platforms as well. There are, however, several important features that cannot be run on the PC side period (e.g. Xbox Live multiplayer and avatars).
To answer your question: No, games compiled for the Xbox 360 will not work on a PC. You'll need the PC compiled version to do that. However, it costs barely anything to become an official developer and transfer dev versions to console legally, so it's pretty pointless finding hacks to do this. XNB is the content pipeline format for XNA, and is not Xbox 360-specific. You can find most of this out by simply downloading a copy of XNA Games Studio (which is free) and building stuff. Honestly though, you have to be pretty special to think kudos can be earned from ripping off $1 games from a development community that barely breaks even just to save the pittance it costs to get a license that anybody can get.
Incredible ignorance (obviously Xbox 360 games can't be run on a Windows PC) and a desire to pirate games from current developers, who may well even post here. On top of your previous idiocy I can't imagine how you are not banned yet.
