    It's a launch system.

It overheats, gives me the "not a 360 disc" error, and the "cannot read restart" error.

It also locks up on dvd layer breaks on some dvds.

    This is really getting tedius.

The whole point of getting one with a hdd was so I wouldn't need
    a memory card.

Now they tell me "back up to a memory card" the hdd might be bad.

Or get this : the CACHE that games leave on the hdd might be fragmented or corrupt.

I HATE HATE pc type errors on a games console.

Unlike my pc, I cannot run linux on my 360 and play games.

This is such a damn nightmare, 3 hours into a game and it has zero percent reliability. It's like trying to play games on a system with a random timer in it for resetting or crashing.

Some games have a survival mode, and to put THAT many hours into a game to lose it all...

360 has to be the least reliable console yet.

That and it's like I have a damn jet engine in my room, it drowns out the tv it's so damn loud.

I don't know man, with the 2 I've had the drive is noticably noisey. If the system is randomly crashing often it'll likely die pretty soon. My first one was like that, randomly it'd crash for no apparent reason. Eventually 3 red lights of death. The second one hasn't had any issues, other than crappy programming by M$. But I got a brand new one off the shelves, I don't send into Microsoft for some used PoS. Even though it costs me money to buy those replacement deals, I'd rather a new system than a refurb.
