This is one of the reasons why i have been after an deeply intrested in an xbox 360 debug/dev kit for a while now and after hearing that quite a lot of developers new games alphas and betas hit PartnerNET for testing this got me even more intrested in buying one. I have some questions about PartnerNET that i'm hoping some people on here could help with. Q) I heard that if you are catched accessing partnerNET you could get in deep trouble is this really true? Q) Is the only way you can access partnerNET is through an xbox 360 dev kit or debug? Q) Does partnerNET give you access to everything a developer has? These are all the questions i need to ask right now thanks for your time
...Short answer is, if you need to ask then you shouldn't be using, or thinking of using the aforementioned service.
Thanks for the fast reply :thumbsup:I would be greatful if you could shead some more light on what else PartnerNET is since i'm also intrested in information about it
I believe the units are locked down to specific IP addresses, if you try to use it outside of where it was registered, instaban! Thats what I heard before anyway, sounds reasonable enough a security measure.
I think the reaction from everyone is meant as a precursory warning to you not to screw up your unit or fiddle with something that has implications. Seriously, I agree with the previous postings and it's one reason I would also not advise it. It might not seem it, but it is friendly if not wary advice.
Thanks to everyone thats commented and now i finally know the anwsers i have been wanting for a while. Thanks
Sorry if bumping applies in this board... But I just wanted to say thats not true, just don't want people to get mislead.
