    XBox 360 protos - 56k Warning!

I'm not sure if this has been covered, or if it is old news, but Idle Thumbs (www.idlethumbs.net) have an interview with the chief designer of the XBox 360, along with proto shots:

I fully expect to see a similar picture, but on OE's famous blue pool table sometime soon...

Here's a fun question for you all to puzzle over (PA and OE are not allowed to answer because I'd be shocked if you two didn't know):

The Radon and Krypton names were used to refer to two versions of the Xbox 360 controller. What is special about each one?

And the second part, how can you tell the difference between a Radon, Krypton and a retail Xbox 360 controller?

These are good things to know if you're ever hunting for prototype hardware. ;)

Still designed as a rectangle. How original. Wouldn't hurt to add some artistic
    lines to the device.

    Not quite.
If anything Sega was influenced by NEC when designing the Saturn controller...I seem to recall a PC Engine Batwing style controller which was released long before the Saturn was even in its concept stages.

If i can find some info on google, i'll spill the beans later tonight. A good general rule to keep yourself from breaking NDA's, you can't get in trouble for quoting something on google.

Oh come on now! It's barely been a day. ;)

Let these boys and girls do a bit of research on the subject. After all, the answers are out there. Chances are good that more than a few members of the forum have either seen or touched a Radon/Krypton and just not realized what it was.

I say give it a week. If nobody can come up with an answer by then we can give them a few leads. Seriously though, I'd think that the bloodhounds in this fourm wouldn't even need a hint to dig up this info.

One has a plug in port on the bottom of the controller for accessories, but the other doesn't?
