So in this thread im going to make a retail slim case to accept my slim sidecar that I just got recently. Long story short I got a slim xdk motherboard with the sidecar adapter from a member here but it was the only thing that I got. (missing the metal case/plastic housing). so some of the issue is that the retail case does not have the cut out for the sidecar, there is no screw mounts for the sidecar adapter piece, and no screw mount for the sidecar itself. Will post pic and progress here. Also asking any member with a slim xdk with the sidecar adapter to take pics of the metal case to see and to figure out on how to make a holder for the adapter. Thanks EDIT UPDATE. Finish it got some pics that I did on the way. Spoiler Cut Out Test Fit Test look. Testing out mounting screws! Gluing mounting screws. Finished!!!
My guess is that the sidecar will be hanging half assed by the sidecar port. Maybe there's a ghetto way of holding in place lol
Can't see this being too difficult really. Maybe try using some pc motherboard standoffs or something similar. Here's a few pics of mine. Spoiler
Thanks to @XboxSurgeon for his slim sidecar/ system teardown thread. I used that for the ref. Also Thanks to @mb2010 for your close up on the metal cage.
