    Hello!

I was wondering if there was any in-depth information how the XDK 360 sidecar actually works?

I originally thought the sidecar contained some sort of flash memory to hold a DVD game for DVD emulation.

The FPGA chip inside it mimics the DVD Drive, and allows data to be streamed over the usb directly into the box. (Literally the same way the laser reads the disc ... and streams it over sata into the box.) - It allows it to mimic timing, load times, etc.

The sidecar does have two chips of "RAM?" for the buffer it needs, that's about it.

the PIX port is just a pass through to the stress wire connectors, there's nothing really happening in the sidecar.
