XBOX 360 Small Kiosk Monitor (MS Asset) i-DISPLAY

Hi there! I found this little thing today. I've seen this MS Asset label/sticker again here on your forums but never seen this tiny 7" display alone or with a complete setup. It does also mention on its casing i-Display.com which now redirects to a company named OutForm ( http://outform.com/portfolio-xbox360.html ). If anyone here knows and can help, I would like to learn something more about it and its value. So, see the pictures below and let me know. Thanks!

 

Well, you can connect it to pc with a mini usb to usb 2 cable it does have re-writable space named "nand". Not sure how much is the space but it comes with 5 videos already in it. Also has a usb 2.0 female input which doesn't seem to be for usb flash sticks, probably to communicate with the console, - + volume buttons, the button style menu on the front and a slot on the side for SD card input. Yup, our PSP kiosk played videos and came with a dummy PSP.

Does the lead have a connector (e.g. HDMI) that connects to a console to show video from it?

It's effectively a monitor that probably only plays videos uploaded via USB / from SD card. If that's the case, then it is indeed only really useful as a spare part for a kiosk or curio for Xbox collectors. If you look at their other stock products, it looks likely to be one of the open frame ad units with a custom bezel.

You could always e-mail the company and ask for info. They might send you a manual or something.

 

Nope it doesn't have an hdmi, wish it had, it could be usefull for other uses as well Thanks for the advice, I will give it a try and email them!

Yeah its cool and easy to re-design. Although I am trying to copy the videos from the monitor to pc but it kinda gets in a loop. May be I need to format it.
