I Feel so pathetic - My Computer isn't beefy enough to play them at normal speed - it keeps dropping millions of frames
Just out of interest, anyone who can play these smoothly, what spec PC's have you got?
I'm running a athlon 2000+ with 512mb DDR and a FX5200 - I assume its the processor which is preventing these running smoothly - Winamp was using >90% of processor time when trying this..

 

Athlon64, 3.4ghz > 1gb DDR RAM > 400GB SATA > ATI 512mb DDR card

...Plays fine

 

dont use winamp... get media player classic....

 

Didn't work well in either Winamp or WMP 10. I'll try a few others

EDIT: Media Player classic played video reasonably smoothly, but audio v jumpy, Video lan client did audio fine, n video jumpy. Looks like i need a new computer i think...

To get the DOA4 trailer either you have to be an IGN insider or just go to 1UP and download a longer version here.

Anyone else not mpressed with the GFX? Just looks like a Xbox running at 720.

Videos play fine here, P4 2.4, I Gig Ram, super crap video card.

 

Meh from the frames I can get off of my P3 900mhz 512 MB ram, Geforce 2 GO system. The games don't look that impressive. DOA4 looks like DOA3+ or something like that.

 

And not even a good PC.

I'm really fucking disappointed by this thing so far.

...You're missing the point of the vid's, they are purely to show the 'gamers' that games are being worked on, not to show any final products.

...The vid's on offer are less than a 1/3 of the final product in all terms.

 

Yeah thats true, but still to see it like this is kind of disappointing. Then again it's better then showing something great and having to tone it down. However how much can they possible do to improve these with-in the span of 6 months, because some of these games really need a major overhaul in the graphics department at the very least.

Somehow I think you can get gameplay pretty much down on an Alpha kit though.

Yeah MS is going to preview/demo it's latest piece of hardware at 1/3 power. What a load of bullshit. They realise people are not impressed and talked some shit.

Really, no one releases preview pics of lower quality than they actually are. No one is that stupid.

We have a pretty low perception of casual gamers here, so do you think they will go "Hey that looks just like the Xbox... Ah, it's ok these are only 1/3 power models. The one I buy will be 3 times more powerful"
