Xbox 360 XDK slim final prototype???

so i managed to find a BRAND NEW unopened boxed slim 360 XDK. i opened it and noticed it did not have come with a PSU but oddly enough my prototype slim PSU works with it. is that unusual?

 

Well normally the XDK comes in multiple boxes so the PSU comes with all the different adapters for separate regions in its own box.
But I agree that it is odd the proto PSU works with a final kit... Do you have pics of both the kit and PSU? Would be interested in seeing this.

 

i dont have any pics yet. but like i said some one told me that there are final slim prototype consoles but they are rare

 

I know one of Surgeons finals is a proto but I don't recall him saying if the PSU slot was proto shaped.

I guess they were really going back and forth with the final design cause I know some of the stress test slim units have proto and final shaped slots.

 

still on the never ending hunt for new beta material etc etc its a never ending search lol

No, mine works with a normal psu. I have three total, one thats marked as a prototype with multiple debug headers and pinouts not on the usual Corona release xdk.

 

so is my xdk unique ??

 

My guess would be you have a stress test slim PSU that was created after the slims release.
