The console is a Xbox 360 Zephyr Test Kit, it's is in almost new condition (only 1 tiny mark by

the hdd) and well looked after console. It has never had Red ring of death! and still has the

warrenty sticker intact. Manafuacturing date of the kit is 2007 - 08 - 05.

The kit includes a 60gb HDD and nothing else, but it will be formatted,recovered and the serial

numbers BLACKED out before it is sent.

Yep like "most" test kits

 

Not all testkits are banned. Most are, but Microsoft did not just target units and say, "hey, let's ban all test kits.".

My units are perfectly fine.

well i thought all tests were banned by default. appears im wrong like always. but this has been banned since the day i got it.

 

Dont feel so bad anybody could make that assumption based on the fact any kit you buy 2nd hand has been banned.

 

too bad its a test, more a collectors item.

but at least it ain't bricked xD

When I worked at Microsoft, I saw quite a few of these, but there was no way I could possibly get my hands on one and get away with it. Makes me wonder how the hell they get these.

I want this because I want to do some coding for one of these, gain experience and hopefully make it easier for me to get another job. Life hasn't been the same for an entry level programmer like me ever since I got laid off last year. But alas, those who need it most are just too poor. Life just isn't fair, seriously

 

I don't know much about them. Good time to ask. Will the serial number be viewable in the system info screen like a normal 360? Won't formatting remove the test dashboard in favor of retail? Is this banned from normal XBL or do test kits not access it?

 

Test kits dont connect to XBL they connect to Pnet, you can see the serial number sure and I dont believe installing a retail dash is possible it would probably brick the system. Formatting the HDD does nothing besides free up some space and remove the projects already on the HDD
