Some of you may know some may not but I have designed a video break out system for the xbox console to enable internal adaptor mods external video connectors etc and has a micro on board for some cool features. As it is getting hard to find TV's with component inputs and hard finding component cables of resonable quality this will enable easy connection of a component to hdmi converter either internal or external to the xbox so you can still use it on your modern tv. It also has buffered vga signals for true vga compliant output (with a suitable bios that is) Info can be found here with full release of all documention source, code, bill of materials and pcb files for complete project: xbmc4xbox I even now have a beta version of the instalation manual up https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ht77iEsDnr8k5D_PiUR8pX0tqKVkKB9yM1Bdu0-4m4M/edit?usp=sharing I have got a batch of sample pcb's on the way to be able test my design and ensure it is all dandy, The project is all open source you can semi do with it as you wish, and I'm open to critisim if there is any features you think I may be able to include. Cheers Professor_jonny
looks nice, I might get one and pop it in my console Throw in a female micro usb connector connected to say the 4th controller port, so people you use a OTG style cable on their consoles. It'd be very discreet
Basically add a female mini USB connector that goes to the player 4 port, this is a discreet way of having USB support..
Sorry that was semi not my fault as I'm a probationaty member (just joined) and I posted this on the forum and my posts were not made and I tried again, as they had links in them they were up for admin to commit them. I contacted admin and they fixed that problem but also committed the posts that were previously lost in space. I have asked for the other post to be taken down, sorry for the confusion. This is not based on an aurdino it is based on a Picaxe micro so there is no usb ability on the picaxe I cold put a tf232rq or simular but that just adds cost and in reality once it is programmed it is unlikely you will change it that often. The Picaxe programming cable is a serial cable with 2 resistors on it if you wish you could make up a programmig lead and install it on the back or something. Maybe a version 2 with a usb based micro but im trying to make it as cheap as possible, and as easy as possible programming wise for beginners.
Yes, but threads can be moved. So no need to make duplicates. It takes time to be approved as there's only a few moderators... Also use the multi-quote instead of double posting, makes the threads easier to read. Enjoy you stay, and have fun most of all.
Sorry I meant for USB support within the dashboard, say unleash X or XBMC. So you can use flash drives or keyboards ect
I dont think usb is very usefull in the xbox as it is usb1 and very slow. in the delux version of the xblast usb support from the lpc bus is a possibility.
