Went to Best Buy today, and saw about 35+ people outside waiting with blankets. Walked up to the store, and recognized one person there, who shouted my name, and said they were waiting for the 360. That's just crazy. It's so cold over here, and some might get pneumonia. Besides, the system will most likely be available after Christmas with no problems(or so I've heard). Anyone else waiting in front of your stores?
I don't have any plans on buying a 360 until there's a fairly big price drop. I'm still wondering why people are so desperate to get them, but I guess a big part of it is having the "new thing." I asked the local EB games manager if they had any 360's in stock. He just looked at me and said, "That's not funny, man." :lol:
They'd be better off taking a holiday to Japan and buying one here easily It was on the news the other day that Microsoft are now worrying about the low sales of the 360
wait till they come out with a mod chip for japanese ones, as soon as that happens people will import them like crazy, its shocking cheaper to import a japanese 360 then buying one off ebay.
Exact same thing here. Its nuts. I seen a huge line at the Best Buy here (You from Scranton PA by chance?). I asked the guy "You waiting for the 360?" He replied "Yup". I said "You guys are crazy". This was around 8PM. They are staying the night there. I really dont get it, I mean if it actually had good games Id understand but its all junk IMO. Im considering messing with them, since most are probably sleeping right now :lol: The news broadcast tonight said our store was getting 20 in, and 30 people were in line. The other 10 were hoping someone would drop out. Its so stupid...Its mostly all parents wanting to get their kid the "new thing" this year. Too bad the system has no good games at all and the kid is gonna dump it within a week. :fresh:
Patience is what I say. I am sure you'll be able to walk in and easily get one within 30 days. Perhaps by then they might have some more games I want to play. Not going to blow $500 to play condemned.
i bet it be sad that by the time they got up to speed they will be a ton sitting on the shelf, the thing is its gotta hurt microsoft that right now in japan, there are still plenty sitting on the shelf, while everywhere else its just sold out, i cant belive they just couldnt wait and do the launch properly, its not like ps3 is ready to roll out that fast. Of course it is already doing better then the orignal, thats not saying much. Well when doa 4 comes out, will then see.
No camping in line for me. I bought mine off of play-asia.com. The way I look at it is I get best of both worlds with a japanese system. To me Japan has the best flying and mech games on previous systems and I can play most american games now. Hopefully I can play my japanese xbox games without a modded xbox. In the future if I need an American version the price will drop when the pS3 releases and I can buy it than when supplies are plentiful.
