Well unless you trade on forums you'll come to the conclusion that most shops that still sells Xbox modchips only have Aladdin XT 4032 and DuoX3 in stock. They sell Aladdin XT: http://www.eurasia.nu/shop/default.php?cPath=47&PHPSESSID=e7b0e1658d76e03ba358c74b57f1435a
thank you for your reply i have messaged a member of this forum who advertises them in the uk many thanks
Two members one of them actually has 2.6 CE chips and ships worldwide. Sadly the name escapes me but should be one of the recent ones.
Depends what you want. If you just need the xbox modded, no. If you want multiple bioses, bioses larger than 256kb or lcd's etc - then sure.
Personally I like the flexibility offered by the 2.6CE but some day the supply will dry up. Maybe I'll bother cloning them or the X3 instead though I don't know what the benefits of the X3 are.
Larger Flash LCD support X3 Config Live bios On the fly configurable (all the things you can do with XBtool or EVtool) Switch retail<->debug bios FTP support Launch XBE directly HDD tools/EEprom config/video mode config utilities I really like the X3 bios because it has 128MB RAM support, on HDD partition table support, proper IGR support (IND bios resets without holding the triggers), debug ON/OFF and no warm up time to fetch the config.ini on HDD (like the X2 CL bios).
