I was disassembling my Xbox controller (S Type) just to replace analog stick cap.Went fast and without problem.Where I run into problem was reassembling the controller all way back.Vibration motors and buttons were falling out until I figured I need to place it upside down to reassemble so nothing falls out. After I reassembled it and played games again I started having weird paranoia that motors aren't working strong as they should. Is it possible that rumble doesn't work properly because I didn't place them in the most perfect/correct position. What I mean by this that would each motor supposed to be positioned up or down for itself? I Was very careful so there was nothing damaged for sure.Just maybe not placed correctly. Why I feel like this is because when I play Burnout Revenge vibrations seem too light in some situations where I think they should not be (when I crash hard or use Nitros). Is there any homebrew application with which I could test do vibrations work correctly?
Brilliant idea.Haven't thought of that one.Just need to get hands on another one! Any other way til then? EDIT: Other way I thought of, could anyone who has the game checkout does it rumble hard or light when using nitros? And when you crash into another hard not getting feedback every time? Thanks in advance.
I use MotioninJoy, for PC though I never had the need to troubleshoot any OGXbox controller yet. It works great for x360 all ps1-4 controllers. I always break the wires that power the motors because they're barely soldered (and I'm a clumsy too )
I once got a $5 boxed Dreamcast mouse for free. The guy emailed me saying he would get back to me with payment details. I got the mouse and I reminded him that I didn't pay. He never replied and after some time (a couple of months I think) he gave me a negative feedback. Lol
