I'm aware that this is a bit of an grey area discussion, so to keep it clean lets not place any links to website's or places were you can get 'stuff'. Okay lets get started.

Since I've got an HD capable display I'm really disapointed in the European xbox since the HD option has been left out in the european dashboard/bios. So after some thinking and waiting I decided to let my xbox being fitted with an modchip.
However I cant seem to find an good dashboard (and / or bios) to setup the HD things.

Does anyone know which dashboard and bios file I need to finally let my xbox output HD?

most (if not all) of the hacked retail bioses will be able to output better than 480i.
Depending on the chip you have installed, the bios may vary. If you bought an X3 chip, then go ahead and use the X3 bios. If it's anything else, I suggest an X2 bios. You have many choices of dashboards so read up about them and make your decision. In many cases, you can use your chip's OS to enable HDTV modes without the need to use a homebrew dash.

BTW, the bios and dashboard are no different in the various regions. There is a value in the EEPROM that determines region.

I have the "Duox2 Cromwell" chip. However I use the X2 (Executer 2) bios file.... but I don't see any HDTV options. :(. So atomiX do you know were I should look now?

since you're using an X2, download unleashx (dashboard) and use it to enable 480p, 720p and/or 1080i (although most games only support up to 480p and a few support 720p). A few games don't even support 480p but there are only about 5-10 games like this.

after those options have been enabled, plug in your HDTV video pack and it should work (providing the game is designed to output HDTV).
