Hello i´m from Spain my english is very bad , buy i have a bigi big problem i have 2 xbox with xecuters 3 , ide/sata adaptors , xbmc , emus ... iand a XBOX DEBUG KIT since 2013 , 120 gb hdd ,xbmc , emus (no chip)etc ,,,, and works great but i read that i flash with a ind bios 5006 , can upgrade the hd with a sata /ide adapter , like my other original xboxs... But i do a big mistake , y flashed with a exox biox (256) and not ind bios and then when reboot ... blinkin red buttons , no video no audio , no dvd tray , no net ....died.... i have no idea if it posible solve this problem . ther is no problem to my to solder points or replacement any component but no idea to solve this. thank you for any help and ideas i read any about : A Fast & Legal way to reflash your EEPROM with Cromwell ,. but no idea is a software metod or hardware thanks a lot for your time and ideas
How did you flashed the bios? IIRC the bios from Debug Kits are 1 MB in size, if you flashed only a 256KB bios and not a 1 MB version, this caused the issue... Hello Patrick and thanks for your reply , this xbox is very import for me. i flashed the bios with autoflash and 256 k bios and kill it i understand that i have to solder point 18 to ground and 19 to ground (my english is very bad )? 1-and then when turn on the xbox restarts with evox bios ? 2- what i have to do to replace these 256k evox bios by the original bios or ind bios. tonight y solder to ground both points , and try it thank you so much Patrick
I am not sure to understand, you had flash debug bios? ....but why? No need.... burn on DVD the recovery disk for debug kit and reflash the bios
Hello Nonosto yes i flash debug bios im idiot . i´m no try but the xbox no invoke video or dvd tray ,only blink reg/green lights . i heven´t a recovery disk , and not found any link for anys... I'll never understand why people feel the need to play with debug and XDKs in ways you can regular XBoxes. A solderless modchip can revive it but then you aren't using the TSOP. The TSOP can be desoldered, reflashed, and reinstalled just fine. I believe the new modchip being developed can allow for it to reflash the TSOP but then you've got to solder a header in there.
This should actually work to recover the tsop. Its not booting because its a 1mb Tsop chip and you only flashed the first "bank" of it. If you properly attach the switches you should be able to get the system to boot again. Then load your favorite flashing tool. select the correct Bios and disconnect the grounded connection to allow the complete Tsop chip to be written to.
If it was a Bios for a retail console (MCPX-X3) he flashed then the switch technique won't work. The MCPX-X2 on a debug kit has a different RC4 key and can't decrypt the Rom correctly that's why it frags! As APE suggested removing the chip and externally reprogramming it with a known good Bios is the cleanest way. But simply installing a chip with a good debug bios is the easiest.
Locate the points A18 and A19 solder three cables in total from a18 one cable a19 one cable and solder other cable to the yellow component ground twist the three cables or install a switch the xbox should boot from bank 4 boot the xbox with a disc inside hexen disk untwist the cables or flip to off the switch flash the tsop then when complete turn off the xbox remove the cables under the motherboard greetings. Localiza los puntos A18 y A19 en la placa soldar una cable al punto A19 soldar otro cable al punto A18 y luego soldar otro cable al componente amarillo que es tierra ground junta los tres cables o puedes usar un switch tambien cuando juntes los tres cables el xbox funcionara del banco numero 4 del tsop ya que flasheaste solamente el banco numero 4 los demas los otros tres bancos del tsop estan vacios por eso el error al prender entonces cuando enciendas la consola con los tres cables juntos o usando el switch usara solamente el banco 4 del tsop inserta un dvd biohazard o hexen cuando inicie el dvd en el menu suelta los tres cables que unistes al principio reflashea el tsop y por ultimo cuando termine apaga la consola remueve los cables un saludo
