The original debug units had a serial debug port. It was a pcb connected to the lpc port. It contained a large chip, an oscillator and a smaller chip which is probably an rs232 level converter. I am trying to find out what numbers are written on the bigger chip on the board. I think it is a multi io chip with an LPC interface, used on cheap P3 mobo's. Besides the serial port, it probably also contains a printer port and a floppy interface which aren't used in the xbox debug design.

Is there someone who can provide more details about this board, and especially about the larger chip on that board?

    thanks in advance.

    debug port (2)

    Burp,

Sorry, I mean Bump. (Must be due to the Sylvester party)

Is there really no one still around who can tell me more about the xbox debug port? Maybe someone could tell me if the alpha devkits had such a thing. As those hardware stands closer to a pc, it might be a legacy comport on those, with probably the same multi io LPC chip on the mobo.

    Thanks in advance.
