I had picked up a bastardized xbox development kit with just the motherboard shoved into an ugly purple case a while back on ebay. I have no idea if it came with the original hard drive or dvd drive. Was the motherboard part of a DVT-4 kit? I'm assuming there's nothing too special about it but figured I'd post some of the information for public reference or the small chance that someone absolutely needs this exact model. That's got the full amount of ram installed which is nice. All 128mb probably no way to tell if it was from a DVT-4 or not. Could always just be a old debug kit board, they are essentially the same part, just the DVT-4 has the daughter boards. Ive been told that if you took the daughter boards from a DVT-4 and installed them on a debug kit that it would work just the same as before tho
I'm noticing there is no USB header on the rear of the board in between the LAN and the Video out. The sticker XDK 2K R4 I usually see on prototype boards but this board has the "Microsoft" printed on it. I'm leaning towards a debug kit.
Thanks for the input guys. My initial thoughts on it being pulled from a devkit were solely based off of the SMC reporting a D01 firmware revision (on the motherboard sticker as well as when querying the hardware via code) and the following snippet from Yoshihiro's updated XKUtils. http://pastebin.com/UZXMyKhh Maybe debug kits shared the same firmware revision until release when they switched it up to DBG? Perhaps identification is a bit more complicated than I had originally thought
