XBOX ethernet no working

    hello guys i have a problem with my xbox
    after a stormy night a thunder blows my router and my xbox ethernet
    i checked the board an i found the ethernet ic becomes very hot
    i swaped ic from a working board i checked the soldering under microscope but the ethernet no comes up.
    the leds no blinking .some ideas please

    I would get a volt meter and start poking around...might be easier to buy another xbox to be honest.

    nice idea but my this xbox has hardware mods like 128mb ram

    Could be the actual ethernet socket too. I believe they are magjacks that contain the required magnetics within the connector itself.

    Sounds like your Xbox may be permanently damaged. There should be some protection on the ethernet connection, but if its blown the transceiver, it's possibly damaged more components too I'm afraid.

    why would you even have an OG xbox connected to ethernet anyway XBL got disconnected 5 years ago on that platform

    Copying movies, games, music. XBMC, Xlink Kai, System link, etc. I guess why wouldn't you have Ethernet plugged into an original Xbox.

    replaced socket but no works

    time to check crystal oscilator and 5v mosfet

    The ICS Chip Is Bad .. The Chip right behind the Ethernet port.. I have replaced these before On xbox 360.
    And I'm 98% sure its that ICS Chip
