Here's the disc that was provided to US xbox Live beta testers when the service was undergoing testing back in 2002.

Original disc-only "Beta Starter Kit Disc v. 1.0"

What's neat about this is that it includes a online-only demo version of Acclaim's REVOLT racing game, something which was never released for the Xbox. The demo does boot up on my XBOX, but you can't actually play it without a LIVE connection and even then you probably won't be able to play it since Microsoft discontinued supporting Revolt when Xbox LIVE went public.
This is more or less a neat little item for hardcore XBOX collectors to add to their library. If nothing else, you can see how Revolt looked when running on the Xbox.

    What's included:
    *Beta Disc
    *Slimline CD case
Nothing else...no documentation, packaging, etc included.

My asking price is $90 usd or best offer. Shipping is included for buyers in the continental USA...International buyers will need to add a small fee to cover shipping.

    Payment by PAYPAL only please.

    Anyone interested?
I'll knock the price down to $90 or best offer.

    Super> Since you asked...

Honestly, I don't think you'll get many takers at that price. It's just way too high. :(

That disc was produced in pretty mass quantites across the U.S. and given away by Microsoft rather freely.

As the components of the Xbox Live Beta Kit go, it's also the most common as there were problems with the original pressing and Microsoft often shipped two or three out to a single individual.

The orange Xbox Live memory card is worth the most as those were strictly limited.

In terms of the discs, the NFL demo is the rarest, with the v2.0 beta disc coming in second and the v1.0 disc being the most common.

When the ReVolt servers were still up (and Microsoft did leave them up for a good year plus after the service officially launched) the v1.0 disc had some value because you could actually play the game but today it is little more than a curiosity.

Well, I had no idea this disc was as common as you state it is.
    Whatever.

Anyone wants it, $50 and it's yours.

  5. ...I'd be amazed if you get $50 m8, those discs seem to 'top' out at about $5 on the likes of eBay.

    Really?
Oh well. Guess it doesn't make any sense to sell it then. I suppose I'll just keep it.
    Thanks all! :)

maybe some of the 1337 h4xz0rz can make Revolt work offline?, that would make it pretty interesting.

Definitely would be interesting to see. Graphically, it doesn't look too different from the DC version (at least from what I can tell by watching the self-running demo mode). I'm not sure how complete this particular build is on my disc, but I suspect it's just the online portion with a small selection of tracks and not much else.
