Even though I recently got my account back, I was given a strange 18-20 day ban. The Xbox tells me nothing and that an email will be sent to the main account's address. I was frustrated seeing as I just bought a 1 month for it due to being tight on cash, and quite confused at first. I had a snippet of code from a Half-life 2 EP2 mod, we are talking simple C++ code, a friend on Live was asking how to put a certain effect in for when an NPC is shot in the head, it will display a particle effect (like text popping up saying CRIT! for critical hits in Team Fortress 2), you get the idea. It was such a small snippet that I could fit it in the Bio, instead of sending it in a message or getting his IM, just because I thought it would look cool. ( i secretly knew it wouldn't ) Anyway, needless to say it stayed as my Bio for around 2 weeks when I get that ban message.... Email says that I violated the Code of Conduct somehow, it then goes on to display my Bio as the culprit, the C++ coding... amazing. I try to get in contact over the phone but already feel hopeless even before dialing for that damn number again in my lifetime. I hope its the last. It went nowhere. Basically, they say the ban was just. This is not the first time to happen. Not even the second.......... But it is the third! So that's good!.... No. I lied, it is nowhere near fucking adequate! 1st time was for a month with no explanation! I will never forget that. I swear it was because of playing Halo 3 so much back then... but there is no way any number of file complaints & bad reputation could cause that... Right? People filed complaints in armies back then, only reason I knew is because I would get constantly asked by "XBL friends" to do it, fuck no. How old are these people mentally? They are fucking morons. I just hate this most recent one, because Microsoft are so cold hearted that even someone like me with 8 years on their XBL account still get treated with no respect, not that I really expected that in the first place... but wtf? No 2 months worth of XBL to give me back? Not to mention getting it repaired took 2 months of service and they gave me a 1 month card plastered on top of it.... ummm.. a little light on the 1 month cards don't you think? Fuck, it would cost them nothing to satisfy a long time customer, but they just dick me around! /Rage /Anger /Sadness /AssholePersona
mer i got banned for 21days for having feck in my bio XD and now that account is permabanned for "network manipulation what ever that means"
I got booted off with my trial for some reason or another, not that I did anything or even spoke on a mic, 4 players reported me as abusive.. I have no idea why. I was playing PGR4 and I didn't see that the person in front of me was slowing down and rammed the other player, how is that aggressive and result a report? That sealed it for me, never bought a subscription. I happen to love XBOX and XBOX 360, but I'd never pay to play online..
People can't stand losing, resort to complaints as a tool for revenge. Just serves to PROVE that XBLPET DOES NOT CHECK if complains are legitimate/just. Who cares. Let the lions stay in the jungle. You will be safe outside of that jungle.
Putting in code makes it look like you are trying to hack the site. We know better, but someone who is code illiterate doesn't.

I got account perma banned for trying to sell legit Microsoft points.... Luckily i was able to glitch it so I got to keep my gt
Anyone who is code illiterate and reads that small snippet assuming it has anything to do with hacking anything (assuming this person understands english)... That makes me sad to live on this world. What, the code in action?
XBL has automatic suspension/banning/muting policies. At one time the policy was if 10 different players mute you within a 24hr period you get voice banned. I do not know if this is still an acting policy. I got caught up in it once. I never plug my mic in, but on Halo a lot of people "tag" players they lose to by muting them, as it puts a symbol next to the gamertag. This is a method to track people you've lost to before. So a bunch of players "tagged" me like that, and I end up getting voice banned. It lasted like 6 months or more. Serious. V.V
Its bad all that stuff going on i never play on Xbox live anymore it was a good thing until people mess it up like i was gta iv and was doing racing and then they got out of the car and treating the game like call of duty. It was like when i first played this online it was cool but now its beyond I dont care about wining.
Do a chargeback on the card, or small claims court. Make them pay $5000 to have someone fly to where you are to defend $15 in ban value.
