First off here are the specifications: HS2100DB Round Pin BGA Chipset Heatsink. (23mmL x 23mmW x 12.7mmH) EZ Snap K22 clip (fits chip heights 2.0mm to 2.6mm) Radian Heatsinks Radian Heatsink Store P1705: Chomerics T710 phase change material pre-installed on Heatsink Chomerics Thermflow710 T710 PDF PERFORMANCE DATA Thermal Resistance: Theta-SA (°C/W) pad 200lfm = 7.2 / 400lfm = 4.9 / 600lfm = 4.1 I bought 10 (two packs of 5) (5 pack is the only way to get them) I also got the HS8063 0.25in x 6.5in Clip-Tool (Click below to see video of insertion/removal) EZ Clip Install HS2100DB for $43.20USD HS8063 Clip-Tool $4.95USD Shipping from 95050 to 06340 $7.45 Total Cost $55.60USD Placed order 19:53 08MAR08, received at doorstep ~14:00 17MAR08 SPECIAL INSTALL NOTES I had to bend a normal office paper clip to form a squared-off ring to sit between the top of the Heatsink and underneath the plastic clip. It is needed to remove some of the vertical slack height and to provide a little bit of tension. Without it, the Heatsink can move vertically about .2mm. If you are going to epoxy the Heatsink on I don't think it will come off - so you may not need this step. PROS: Fits all XBOX Console MCPX chipset's (Including MCPX X2's - DEV kits/some DEBUGS)* - Has EZ Snap K22 clip that secures itself to the bottom of the MCPX's BGA package. It will not come off unless you want it to, very useful if your XBOX gets thrown around allot in airports. - Includes (Optional) Thermal compound on the bottom of Heatsink (just clean MCPX, peal plastic protector, and stick!) - Optional Thermal compound can be deleted so you can use your own Arctic Silver or other suitable thermal compounds. - Allows the use of Xecuter X3CE to be connected via Pin Header install method. The Heatsink forces the modchip to be raised slightly but it still has full contact with pin header. (This is the only Modchip I use - so please don't ask about other chips) - Also fits on XBOX360 chip (I think it is the Southbridge chip - the one under the OOD) CONS: - Does not fit in original stock XBOX case equipped with Phillips DVD OOD (bump on bottom of DVD interferes with chip height) Fits with Samsung and Thompson OODs. - You have to fabricate a "Paper-Clip Shim" to get the Heatsink to rest properly and provide necessary tension on Heatsink's clip. - Have to buy 5 pack (most people only need 1 or 2) and I believe there is a $50.00USD minimum order (I don't remember exactly - I will eventually need a total of 32) What is left to do: - I have to actually install a Heatsink into a XBOX and run tests. - If you have a specific method you would like me to try post below. I've done a REAL quick search and I don't think there is a MCPX Heatsink Temperature guide or actual scientific postings on the web. * NOTE I can only measure MCPX temperature via XBMC, Avalaunch, UnleashX software, as I do not have any physical temperature measuring equipment.* Since nothing is true on the internet without pictures here are some: BUT you have to wait for my picture people to make them public - I do not know how long this will take.
