I found this today and thought it was quite interesting. I think this was given to the team that worked on the Media Center and MCX Nook. Since it is green and has a copy of Bill Gates signature, I thought that it would fit well with XBOX related stuff. That is not a sticker but part of the plastic. Totally reminds me of the writing on the original XBOX launch team consoles with the green color. Was this compatible with the XBOX 360? Because it looks like a receiver of some sort.
I have one of these. Yes, it was given away to the dev team. No, short of some hack I am not aware of, they are not compatible with a 360.
That's quite interesting. When you say 'found', do you mean you now own it, or you just found some photos somewhere on the net?
Hey DeChief, Yes, I found it at a thrift store for one dollar. Xboxsurgeon..did you find yours too in the wild or did you aquire it from someone at Microsoft?
Found it in the wild. Computer consignment/recycling center locally. Grabbed it for the same reason you probably did with the similarity with the 2001 LT console sets. Haven't found all that much info besides that an early dev team was given them. The retail versions are black of course without signature and another decal on the bottom.
I so want that Dakota/Alamo controller. I have been searching for years to find one of those to no avail. Did you find most of those in the wild too XboxSurgeon? What is the story behind that rare communicator in the controller
DVT4 I got in trade, same with Dakota. The communicator was picked up in the wild from a game trading store local to me for a matter of $2.
I'm so happy to "join the ranks" so to speak of finding interesting things in the wild. Did I do well finding an orange XBL memory card for $7?
Yes DeChief you did very well finding an orange memory card. I am still waiting to find one of those. And finding that communicator for $2 is making me mad XboxSurgeon
