Been playing around with this for a while and it's pretty convenient but it can also be a head-scratcher. I watch a lot of videos on my XBOX, as well as Hulu and Netflix, and it's really nice to be able to pause or change something without having to fire up the controller that usually turns off while I'm watching something. It's also smaller and the movement is better, plus it's just more natural to use a remote when using videos.

But....it doesn't work with Window Media Center on XBOX, which is obviously surprising. It can do some basic functions like navigate and play, but there is no chapter advance feature and the fast forward is really sketchy. I lost my connection during a movie and had to start it again and without the ability to jump ahead 10 minutes or so I had to put it on fast forward to get through an hour. You'd think they'd add some kind of advance feature since It's a button on the actual remote. It feels like they made the remote and Media Center (and XBOX Video Player) completely separate from each other even though it's supposed to be a media remote. So many buttons just don't work with it....but isn't the remote made for media?

Yeah, I don't have any experience with the new ones but that old model (the big one, there's a smaller white one too if I remember?) is fantastic.
